If you have any questions regarding boarding at Sibford please contact Victoria Baker, Head of Boarding. You can email her at firstname.lastname@example.org. Once boarding arrangements have been made, House staff are usually the first port of call if you need general information regarding your child’s boarding stay.
We offer occasional boarding at £65 a night, where pupils can regularly stay for one or two nights a week, or perhaps board for the occasional night if they wish. The cost includes 24 hour care, full board with meals and bed linen. We always offer a 50% discount on the cost of occasional boarding should your child be staying over as the result of a school-based event such as open evenings, sports fixtures, school trips etc – do please let us know if this is the case and we will be happy to help.
Whilst you may prefer to retain the flexibility of occasional boarding which is allocated on a ‘first come-first served’ basis, if you are looking for regular boarding you may find that a weekly boarding package is the most economic choice for September 2019 – it also guarantees a regular place in the boarding house. Please see our scale of fees for more details.
If you wish your child to occasional boarding please complete the occasional boarding Request Form below and return it to Victoria Baker.
At the weekend the pace of life changes. We organise a regular Friday evening trip to a local supermarket. Pupils have a gentle start to Saturday and Sunday mornings with brunch served at 10.30am on Saturday and 11.30am on Sunday.
There are frequent trips to Oxford, Stratford upon Avon and Banbury in addition to Bowling, Ice Skating, Go-Karting and Cinema trips.
The swimming pool, sports hall, art studios and music practice rooms are all open at various times throughout the weekend for pupils use.
All boarding pupils visit the local Quaker Meeting House once a term.
Complaints regarding Boarding:
If any parent is unhappy with the care that their child is receiving, or has any concern relating to the school, we encourage that person to talk to the Houseparent, Tutor or the Head of Boarding immediately.
Should parents wish to speak to someone outside the school they should contact the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) and/or the Department for Education (DfE)
